Tour the Center
CHAPEL:
This beautiful sacred space was designed by the renowned artist Mel Meyer, S.M. to reflect the landscape surrounding the retreat center: the rolling green hills of the ancient Ozark Mountains and the deep flowing waters of the Meramec River. The centrally located chapel is available for use around the clock. Stained glass windows, contemporary art, and quiet private nooks create the perfect atmosphere for reflection. A sound system, adjustable lighting, and movable furnishings are some of the elements available to meet your group's needs.
CONFERENCE ROOM:
Views of the lush Meramec River valley surround you in the large Conference Room. Large tables and comfortable chairs and couches can be arranged for a variety of session styles. You can relax and think with sacred scripture or a book from our theology and devotion library, or pull out a puzzle or board game to share with friends. Available stereo, microphone, television with DVD and VCR players, and projection screen make this room an up-to-date meeting area; while the rustic fireplace and dozens of over-sized floor cushions provide a comfortable, home-like setting.
LODGING:
Accommodations for groups are available in 43 single rooms and two double rooms, each with private bathroom facilities. Linens and towels are provided. Simple decor, large windows, and writing desks welcome solitude and private reflection. Lodging for individual retreatants or small groups is available at the MaryCliff House on the property.
DINING:
Dining at the Marianist Retreat Center is an enjoyable and relaxed experience. Our own in-house chefs provide delicious, healthy, plentiful meals and snacks--requests are welcomed! Since we offer the center to only one group at a time, you will receive our complete attention throughout your stay!
GROUNDS AND ACTIVITIES:
Nestled on the edge of the Ozark Mountains in Wildwood, Missouri, the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center enjoys both the seclusion of 120 wooded acres and the conveniences of being near a major metropolitan area. During your stay, you can enjoy the miles of hiking trails, outdoor shrines, and reflective garden walks. An athletic field, horse shoes, ping-pong table, basket ball hoop, and volley ball court are available for the sports enthusiast.
Within a ten minute drive are Babler State Park, Route 66 State Park, Six Flags over Mid-America, and Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Downtown St. Louis, with Forest Park (the zoo and art, history, and science museums--all free of charge), world class theater, major league sports venues, the Saint Louis Basilica and Old Cathedral, and many other attractions, is an easy 40 minutes drive.
